Respected sir, one of client is a Government Hospital doctor. In the Financial Year 2011-12 hospital tresury dept tds deducted and Paid to Department but tds return not filled. That cause client got Demand notice. tds amount not showing in 26as. Please tell me the solution

Hi,
Often in Govt Department we see this situation.
You have 2 option:
1. Put pressure on Treasury department to file TDS return. Once filed, you will get credit in 26AS and all will be fine.
2. Just reply to ITO with facts along with TDS certificate what you have and wait for rectification. if you follow this your refund might be not released or may be released after adjustment of Demand.
Choice is yours!
