12 October 2010 Please any one tell me if the employer deducted less tax on salary (by miscalculation) and the employee has filed his return as per the tds certificate and and now the employer gets the Demand note from ITD now the employer hand over the demand letter to the employees now

tell me who has to deposit the demand as the employee has not get any notice.

thanks in advance (if possible refer any case law)

12 October 2010 TDS deduction and deposit responsbility of Employer. wait and watch for further action from AO. even TDS to be deduct from employee salary. but now see the progress.
