Tds cheque

20 April 2013 Sir,
Pl clarify my confusion in regard to cheque to be issued for deposit of TDS deducted, my C.A. advised to make cheque as "yourselves a/c TDS' whereas bank said as 'yourselves a/c CBDT " which one is correct to avoid complications in future.

20 April 2013 To avoid complication you may deposit TDS through online payment, (directly fill desired challan by you )

21 April 2013 The requirements of Bank differ from Bank to Bank. Your CA has told you to draw cheque as "yourself tds" similar to make RTGS which is issued as "youself for RTGS"

For avoid complication issue your cheque as "yourself " and mark it for account payee .

The main worth is of challan which is givin by bank. Once money is deducted from our account and challan is provided by the bank we will not be held responsible for the internal affairs of the bank

Have a separate account opened for tax payments & get online transaction rights.
If u r still drawing cheques & getting them mannually deposited to bank then u should update yrself with the changing technology.
