Hello CA's and Experts
I am Sanjay. I want to know that if the pvt ltd co has deducted a TDS in the m/o Oct and deposit the same in the acounts of Govt in the m/o Nov after 45 days. What will be the consequences which the co have to face? Kindly advise.

What I understand from your query is suppose you deduct TDS on 10/10/2011 and deposit the same on or after 25th day of november 2011. Then You will be liable to impose interest on the amount of TDS since you are depositing after the due date specified.

Thanks for the reply. It is right that we have to pay interest, but at what rate we have to add to the total amount of TDS. Kindly advise.
