13 July 2013 WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE TO CLAIM TDS IF IT IS NOT SHOWN IN 26AS AND THE PARTY IS NOT ISSUING FORM 16 BECAUSE HE SAYS THAT TDS HAS BEEN DEDUCTED @ 20%.

13 July 2013 It may be possible that since PAN has not been furnished, party is not able to get Print Out of TDS certificate from Traces Web Site.
.
But, looking to the amount involved, you may request the party to get rectified his TDS return as you are furnishing PAN No.
.
If you are not interested in furnishing PAN
then the amount so deducted has no utility for getting tax credit.

THE TDS HAS BEEN DEDUCTED BY THE BANK ON FIXED DEPOSIT ....
THE BANK ISSUE US THE INTEREST CERTIFICATE WHICH SHOWS THE TDS AMOUNT DEDUCTED....
NOW...
CAN I CLAIM THE TDS DEDUCTED BY THE BANK...
THE AMOUNT OF INTERSET IS RS 2.5 LAKH
AND TDS DEDUCTED @ 20%

First get the PAN and furnish the same to the banker.

13 July 2013 yes u can ask for tds certificate for tds deducted by bank after providing valid pan number to bank.

13 July 2013 To get the credit of the TDS amount you need to request the concerned Bank to revise the TDS return quoting your PAN. Otherwise you can not claim the TDS amount.
