THERE WAS WRONG PAN WHILE FILING TDS RETURN.
DEFAULT NOTICE WAS ISSUED AND AFTER RECEIVING THE NOTICE CORRECT PAN WAS ADDED AND REVISED RETURN WAS SUBMITTED. BUT AGAIN NOTICE OF SHORT DEDUCTION WAS ISSUED BY CPC
EXPLANATION WAS GIVEN BY CPC THAT U/S 206AA WE SHOULD PAY THE SHORT DEDUCTION DEMAND.
IS IT CORRECT THAT WE SHOULD PAY THE DEMAND OR NOT
PLEASE HELP

Please check the reason for short deduction. You need to pay only if you had deducted less TDS than what is required under the Act.

reason of short deduction is wrong PAN by oversight and in revised return we have corrected the PAN

So if you have revised the TDS return giving the correct PAN then there should not be a demand for short deduction. If PAN is given then why will there be a demand for short deduction for no PAN. Please download and check the justification report.
