I have a small problem in using TALLY 7.2 package.
My company is dealing in Transport Business, Management is asking me to maintain stock of spares&parts in Tally.

How can I Maintain this in Tally ?
suggest me in this regard....

02 September 2011 while creating company, there is option of books as Account with inventory or Accounts only. please select the option Accounts with Inventory and use the stock system

08 September 2011 For spares when i purchases i am making entry in purchase voucher as purchases.
while issuing stock for using in vehicles, i am passing a jv as debiting to the respective vechile ledger.
But my doubt is when i make purchases already it will get debited in the p&l acc. when i issues for using in vehicles i am booking it as expenditure. i think here i am debiting the same expenditure two times
explain me, am i right or wrong.,
