what message is received from ACES after surrender of service tax registration. Is "inactive " status is confirmation of cancellation.

1)Once the surrender request is submitted by the Assessee, approval process passes through the Superintendent and then AC/DC.
2)You should receive an auto generated mail from the system once your surrender request is approved and accepted.

Auto generated mail is recd "Your surrender request is send back". is it good enough to understand that surrender is complete.
