Surrender of service tax registration

08 March 2013 I want to surrender my service tax registration online.please advice what procedure i have to follow for it?

which documents required to be submitted in hard copies to jurisdiction for it?

I have not possess original ST 2 copy,then whether duplicate copy can be submitted?

08 March 2013 Dear Anjali,

Login to your account on aces.gov.in and then cilck on reg and in that menu, click on surrender.

you can download a copy of the ST 2 from the same website.

08 March 2013 THANKS FOR YOUR REPLY.BUT DEPARTMENT WANT
ORIGINAL COPY OF ST 2 AND THE SAME IS NOT AVAILABLE WITH ME.WHAT IS ALTERNATIVE FOR IT?

WHETHER DECLARATION IS REQUIRED TO BE SUBMITTED TO DEPARTMENT?

you are welcome.

I think the copy that you download from the website would be sufficient.

at the most you can write a covering letter stating that you have lost the original certificate and that you are attaching the dowloaded copy of the certificate.
