Surrender of my registration

06 June 2011 Hello Sir,

My name is Harish, i would like to surrender my service tax registration in online but i had some difficulties while i surrender my registration it shows there is pending with the department and also i had already submitted an obligation and now i need to surrender the original RC document with service tax department but they refuse to accept it. How could i surrender my registration?

Please kindly advice me.

06 June 2011 According to me there will be no reason for refuse to accept RC if there is no due of payment of tax and return.In this condition you can submit an application and take receipt copy of that regarding all clearances of duty and return and about the application for surrender of RC.In that case according to me you will not be liable for tax again if its not due truly.
