Surrender of exemption

if anyone gets an exemption in a subject how can we surrender the exemption so that we can score a rank in next attempt?

Don't claim exemption and appear for the paper, exemption will be automatically withdrawn.

thank you sir... but what is the procedure? I read on a website about a affidavit required?

It will be better to confirm from ICAI. As far as i know if we appear in the paper in which exemption is granted the exemption stands withdrawn.
