20 October 2008 what guidelines does CA institute has issued regarding study exam leave?And how much study leave does an article must take if he is giving seperate groups ?whether principal tells to work extra after the period of articleship is over or does he makes a settlement?how many transfers are allowed?

22 October 2008 Dear Sultan,
Provision for leave are as follows.
1. An articled cleark shall earn leave at the rate of one seventh of the period for whcih he has actually served, excluding from such period the period for which he has been on leave.
2. For the purpose of prparing for examination of ICAI the article cleark shall be granted by the principal leave for two months or to the extent due , whichever is less., Subject to application for leave has been made at least 15 days in advance.
For e.g
U worked for 420 Days
Leave already taken 15 days
Eligible leave = 1/7 of 420 days i.e 60 days
Leave for exam:
60 days - 15 days = 45 days
or
two months
whichever is lower.
i.e leave will be 45 days
