what is the status of articled assistants registered under a partner who is going to retire from the firm

is he retiring or giving up the COP? normally in such cases, the Partner doesn't give up till the articles under him has completed their term..

if he retites then u need to either get registered under other partner of same firm or get reg elsewhere.
