23 July 2012 Kindly inform whether stamp duty on the share certificates in Delhi is to be paid on the face value of Shares or on premium also.

If it is to be paid on premium also kindly inform where it is mentioned. Provide reference.

As per Article 19 of Schedule 1A of Delhi Stamp Act: One rupee for every one thousand, or a part thereof, of the value of the shares, scrip or stock.
