25 February 2011 weather window installation charges & ms office intallation charges at the time of purchase of computer be added 2 cost of computer or be treated as software..?

25 February 2011 the concept is : all the expenses related to purchase of an asset needs to be capitalized, hence in my opinion, it should be added to the computer cost.

25 February 2011 windows should be capitalised as a computer.
without installing a windows or MS office the computer is of no use, it will be like a black box.
To use the computer for its minimal intended use, we need to install these softwares. Hence they should be capitlaised along with the computer and not saperately.
In case if u were buying some special software for special purpose then the senerio would have been totally difference.
