12 July 2017 after the dematerialisation, this concept has lost its identity.
In the physical format, in stead of keeping many share certificates, the share holder (Obviously the one who is close to Company by relation and not distance) used to get his/her shares into stock. So in stead of ccarrying so many share certificates, the company used to issue one single STOCK certificate.
