Share certificate date

Is it necessary the date of share allotment and date of share certificate in private limited company should be same?

What if it is not so.. Like allotment of share was given in 2000 and date on share certificate is of 2010. Is it valid share certificate form?

09 September 2011 It is not necessary that date of allotment and date of issue of share certificate should be same.

However, As per section 113 of the Companies Act, Every company shall, within issue share certificate within three months after the allotment.

You may issue the certificate today but date on certificate should be the 3 months from the date of allotment.

in your case your share certificate is not valid
