03 March 2011 Yes. Not only this profit but any income/profit is shown in credit side of P/L account.
Golden rule-
All income and gains Credit
All expenses and losses Debit.

or
2.Remaining Principal amount-settalment amount=profit li jayegi

Because settlement amount is paid before installment becomes due so no question of payment of interest arises.
