09 May 2015 Dear Experts,
I am confusing in creating a service tax invoice. request you to solve my query.
I Just want to raise a invoice to my client how much service tax should i charge after 01.04.2015.

12.36 or 14 % or 14.36.

09 May 2015 it is 12.36 %... so charge this... new rate wil come in effect once it get notified...!!

10 May 2015 You need to charge Service Tax @ 12.36%. New rate is yet to be notified.

14 May 2015 Hon’ble President has given assent to Finance Bill, 2015 and now it became Finance Act (No.20)2015.

Notification for effective date regarding increase in service tax rate from 12.36% to 14% is still awaited.

Notification for effective date regarding levy of Swachh Bharat Cess of 2% also awaited.

Now Service Tax Notification in this regard is expected to be out very soon.

19 May 2015 Revised Service Tax Rate will be applicable from 01.06.2015.

20 May 2015 Yes new rate it applicable now i.e.14% till any notifIcation came regarding cess from 1st june....

Can you please tell me that the revised service tax rates would be only 14 % or 14% plus cess(14.36%).

because no cess had been notified yet...

hope so it wil b notified before 1st june 2015
