12 October 2010 My service turnover is around 6 lakhs from last 3 years, now i want to know if i apply for registration i need to pay Service Tax as my Service Tunover is less than Rs 10 lakhs???

If i need to file Service Tax return or not???

12 October 2010 Only the Turnover exceeds Rs.10 Lakh during the previous year, you need to charge service tax from the current year. only the turn over exceeds Rs.9 lakh you need to register under service tax

13 October 2010 What in case i need Service Tax Registration???but to pay after limit???????

13 October 2010 i may correct the above you need to register after taxable services exced 9 laks and you have to pay after 10 laks as you are covered under ssi exemption notification no 6/2005 and your first 10 laks of services provided are exempt from tax
