06 October 2011 Pls provide to me ruling regarding new provision of service tax payment change on billing basis.

How does payment of service tax when i received bill payment after raise bill & payment received after due date of service tax deposited. I received payment of service some deduction but i cant say that how much payment deduct.

e.g. I have raise a bill Rs. 20,000.00 on 25-09-2011 & I received payment against this after 5 Oct. 2011 Rs. 15000.00. How much Amount of Service Tax deposited.
Service Tax calculated on which Amount Rs. 20000 or Rs. 15000.

07 October 2011 Now from 01-05-2011 we have to pay service tax on billing basis rather than payment basis.

In above example u have to pay service tax on Rs 20000/- on 5 th or 6th oct.

07 October 2011 Agreed with Expert. ST has to be calculated on Rs.20000/- .

09 October 2011 Thanks sir but i have received service amount Rs. 15000 but i pay service tax on Rs 20000 which amount diff Rs. 5000 i have not received in future. then what should i pay service tax on Rs. 5000.

12 October 2011 I think you can reverse the st paid to the extent of unreceived amount.
