Service tax on labour contractor

30 May 2014 One of my client has raised bill of Rs. 6,00,000.00 on labour contractor. His profit after deducting expenses is Rs. 1,50,000.00. I want to know is service tax is applicable. The client is of Kolkata(West Bengal). Kindly suggest me

30 May 2014 if he had crossed limits , yes it is applicable @ 9.27 % ( i.e. 75% of 12.36%)

31 May 2014 if his billing over rs. 10 lacs then he have to charge the service tax despite the same.
