i have my some clients into labour industry (in maharashtra)
they are mostly doing embroidery job work
is service tax applicable on them or local body tax is applicable to them please answer my query
beacause we are facing problems regarding the applicability of taxes

In my opinion Embroidery work done on job work basis is ‘manufacture’ and hence service tax does not apply – CBE&C letter Dy No. 2305/Commr(ST)/2011 dated 15-7-2011.
