Service tax on advertisement on hoardings

29 October 2012 I am receiving the rent for the hoardings form F.Y.2007-08 and I have not received any kind of service tax on the same.
At present such service is included in the negative list.
Then what about earlier years..?
Such ST is applicable in earlier years or what..?
