24 September 2013 one of our party raise service invoice in april 2013 of March Services.
i book that invoice in March 2013 & now our accounts is closed.
but now the party raise a query ,
that
how we can book April invoice in March.
what we should tell them , as per service tax rule ,
i am not taking any cenvat credit
please help

and they raised invoice in April 2013

is there any section or clause for services used in March 2013, so Service invoice should be raised in March 2013 ?

25 September 2013 As per accounting principles you were right making entry in March on accrual basis. ( Provision for expenses or Liability) One thing which I am not able to understand is that why your service provider has an objection about your accounting.
