We are registered under Excise as Manufacturers & we have been paying regularly.
My question is Service Tax exemption of Rs.10 lacs is available to us ?

yes if the service turnover is less than Rs 10 lakhs..

I have read somewhere that service tax 10 lacs exemption is not available for those who are in Excise as some portion of bldg we have given for rent & shall we register separately as service provider & charge service tax ?
