can you guide me what is the rate of service tax and when it will come to effect

03 March 2015 Rate of service tax has been increased from 12.36% to 14% in the budget. It will come in to effect from a future date to be notified.

03 March 2015 The service tax rate is being increased from 12% plus Education Cesses to 14%. The ‘Education Cess’ and ‘Secondary and Higher Education Cess’ shall be subsumed in the new service tax rate. The revised rate shall come into effect from a date to be notified. So as of now 12.36 is applicable.

19 May 2015 Revised Service Tax Rate will be applicable from 01.06.2015.
