Is the period for filing the service tax return has been changed to half yearly from Oct 2012?

It was half yearly only. It was quarterly return for 1st two quarters only due to introduction of Negative list and reverse charge w.e.f. 01.07.2012.

ST 3 Returns are to be filed HY only. After some time (may be in GST) the return will have to be filed every month.
