company is receiving service from individual contractor and the contractor levied 12.36% s.t. in his invoice . whether it is correct or not. explain in brief .

The type of work whether it is WC or labour is not known.
If the same is pure labour then 12.36% is correct.
If it is WC then if original works then payment on 40% in case of finishing services 60% and others 70% is to be made.
However where the bifurcation is psoible thenonly on the balance after excluding material would ST wouldbe paid.
