Self representation in court instead of lawyer

This query is : Resolved

22 September 2012 We have a case in Magistrate court re: financial fraud in which we lost money as investor.
We wish to represent the case ourself (one of us) and NOT use an appointed lawyer or public prosecutor.
Does this require a written application to court or only oral permission is required?

Thanks,
Kapil

22 September 2012 Exprees versus Implied. (Express is always better) Give a writ to the court that you want to self defend/argue/ respond the case and that you are aware of the court procedure and will follow the same to the utmost dignity of the court.
