Which will be applicable for me either (1) showing income from shares as business income or (2) showing income from shares as capital gain.
As I am doing my work at home itself as a typist as well as accountant for nearby traders. I like to invest my earnings in shares.

It is to be judged by yourself on the following basis-
1. In case of frequent and voluminous transactions you have to show business income.

2. Where borrowed funds are used and interest is required to be paid , it is better to show as Business Income.

3. Where you have a long term perspective and do occasional transactions, having patience you may earn LTCG (exempt)-then show capital gains.
