29 December 2010 To avail deduction under section 80C wrt payment of principal towards housing loan - should one submit any document to the IT department (such as a Declaration form)? What is the process to claim dedution?

29 December 2010 Collect the Certificate from Banker or Financier and keep with you for evidence, no need to submit to department and no declaration also, only if department demand to produce that time you submit the certficate

29 December 2010 No Documents are Required from IT Department.

But Such Documents to Be Produced if IT Department Asks.Such as Loan Statement & Paid Detail Nothing Else
