I have a question regarding section 44AD. A person being a proprietor of his own pathological laboratory eligible for section 44AD? In his proprietorship business he has purchase(consumable goods),salary payment, and other indirect expenses. He is also a degree holder in biochemistry.

yes, he can opt for 44AD. (One small point, please note about 44AD.....it talks about 8% or more......so please dont restrict yourself to 8% only)

Yes you are eligible to claim benefit of sec 44AD, provided your turnover does not exceed 1crore
