AOA empower a company to reduce or increase no. of directors through ordinary resolution in a GM.....My ques is ....IS THIS SECTION APPLICABLE TO A PVT. CO. AS WELL???

Section 258 is applicable to private limited companies ,but the restrictive provisions of section 259 is not applicable to independent private limited companies.
