07 November 2010 can a person who has a full time job can take up another per time job( only on weekends) like lecturing in an institution or giving lessons at the same time?
if so how woul that income be taxed. as other income or income from salary?

07 November 2010 Depends upon his agreement with the part time employer. For example if he is paid Salary for his services -it can be taxed under the head Income from Salaries. If he is being paid as a fee or by any other name which is suggestive that there is no employer employee relationship- such receipts may be taxed under the head Income from Other Sources or Business Income.
