Right of shareholder under co.act 2013 ????

07 July 2015 Dear Sir,

what is right available to share holder under company act 2013 otherthan voting right means if any one has 5000 share of particular one company, what right he have ???

1. can he visit premises of corporate office as shareholder ?
2. can he check /verify financial statement

07 July 2015 Yes.

As a shareholder he can visit corporate office as there is no point refusing the shareholder.

Further Financial statement is to be approved by the shareholders in the AGM. So receiving notice of AGM along with draft of financial statements is the right of shareholders. Refer section 96 of the Companies act 2013.

Thanks for quick reply.... but still i have some doubt...

company have huge/many shareholder.. so

1) in real case can shareholder visit office premises in any day as owner as shares. ?? i think NO .as no company will entertain individual shareholder to come office and ask question ???

2) shareholder meet managing director of listed company ???

3) shareholder check bank balance etc??

as ultimate owner is shareholder as per law but in real life company is managed by highly qualified director...

plz clear my confusion ??
