22 April 2015 If anyone has not filed service tax return for previous 2 years. Can he file return for current quarter . if yes then how it will be done .

22 April 2015 Service tax return is half yearly, you can file the return now. register to www.aces.gov.in with your registration and login to file

24 April 2015 QUESTION IS NOT SO SIMPLE, SEE THE PLAIN READING WHAT I HAVE ASKED:- ALREADY REGISTERED, ALSO FILING RETURNS, NOT FILED FOR 2 YEARS AND NOW WANTS TO FILE THE CURRENT RETURNS ONLY FOR 2ND HALF 2014-15.

NEW ADDITION : IN THOSE 2 YEARS IF ANY UNPAID LIABILITY IS THERE THEN CAN HE FILE THE CURRENT RETURN 2ND HALF 2014-15?

24 April 2015 Service tax return for each of half year is independent. one return cannot deny other, only thing you have to be consistency in the opening and closing balances between the return. if you have not filed for last 2 years obviously it is better to file old returns and file the current return also. as per my view non filling of earlier return may not restrict current return. because the service tax returns can be filled after payment of liability, that cannot be carry forward to next return. only CENVAT balances will be carry forward, so you have to reconcile those figures and file the current return
