Replacement of goods

28 January 2018 Dear Experts,
I have purchased the goods after delivery I have seen supplier has send one Pcs defective. When I had communicated with supplier he said we will replace the goods,

My query is :- since it is not purchase return. By which document I can send the goods for replacement however as per rule 55 of CGST replacement note is not specified. Pls let me know by which document I can send the goods for replacement.

Pls clarify......

28 January 2018 If the person who returns the goods as purchase return is a registered person under GST Act he has to return the goods under regular taxable invoice on payment of appropriate gst.

28 January 2018 Sir.... I think tax invoice shall be issues in form of sales. And if we issue tax invoice say for purchase return than during the assessment officer may object that sales cannot be made on purchase amount, say purchase amount 100/- if we again issue tax invoice to the same party of 100/- in this situation assessment officer may object,
