Respected Sir,

Whether Service Tax to be charged on Rental charges received towards Open plot used for Commercial purpose?

What is the rate of Service Tax to be charged on that amount?

Kindly advice for the same.

10 August 2010 Under sub clause (zzzz) of sec.65(105) explanation

the following purpose excluded from service tax

1.Use of vacant land for the purpose of agriculture,farming,forestry,animal husbandary,mining

2.Vacant land whether or not having facilites clearly incedential to use of such vacant land

so commercial purpose,my opinion is taxable
