service tax registration was done in feb-12 but service tax amount was collected from april-11.but application was done in april-11.due to some pending of documents registration was done in feb-12.i have paid the collected amount on march-12 with interest. should i have to file service tax return from april to sep 11 and oct11-mar12 also?.. pls give me reply...

Yes, you have to file for both periods service tax returns. But the default by the department to registration done by late then it may not be charge the penalty.
