Hello! Yes, you can apply for IPCC (now called CA Intermediate) through the Direct Entry Route even if you had earlier registered for CPT (Common Proficiency Test) and discontinued it.
Hereโs what you need to know:
โ Eligibility for Direct Entry Route (as per ICAI): Since you're a graduate, you can take the Direct Entry Route to register for CA Intermediate without reappearing for CPT.
Requirements:
Commerce Graduate with at least 55% marks, or Non-Commerce Graduate with at least 60% marks ๐ Steps to Register for CA Intermediate via Direct Entry: Register online at https://eservices.icai.org Submit: Graduation mark sheet (self-attested) Passport-sized photo and signature Aadhar card or other ID proof Pay the prescribed registration fee Complete ICITSS (Information Technology & Orientation Course) before starting articleship After completing ICITSS, you can start 3 years of articleship Youโre then eligible to appear in CA Intermediate exams after completing 8 months of study. ๐ Notes: Your old CPT registration does not affect your new registration, but it's a good idea to mention your previous registration number in the new application, if available. You do not need to appear for CA Foundation/CPT again.
