Respected All,
Please clear me rule of tds, if tds deposit last date is 7th of every next month then read the below please.
i am deposited my professional fees tds on 06/01/2013 cheque is got cleare on 11/01/2013 of the month but now we received notice from department for late payment of tds how it is possible please clear me the rule
payment for professinal fees is made on 22/12/2012.

As per the prescribed rules under The Central Govt The Central Government Account (Receipts and Payments) Rules, 1983 the date of receipt by the Govt is 11.01.2013 and accordingly the TDS payment is a delayed payment.

thank you sir but what about salary tds we done our salary on 07/02/2013 & deposit the tds on 10/02/2013 but still we got notice for delayed payment whereas we deposit the tds in same month please help sir thank you.

i AM NOT AGREED WITH MR PARAS BAFNA...YOU MUST HAVE CHALLAN DEPOSITED COUNTER WITH YOU ON WHICH BANK HAS PUT STAMP OF 6TH ..THIS IS NOT DELAYED PAYMENT

FOR SALARY TDS JV YOU MUST HAVE BOOKED IN JAN ITSELF ACCORDINGLY YOUR TDS LIABLITY WILL BE 7TH FEB ..I ADVISE YOU TO PAY ON-LINE AS IT IS COMPULSORY AS WELL
