22 June 2012 Dear Sir,

I am working as a sales representative in an export oriented unit. My doubt is normally tax is levelled on my salary and when I buy something in supermalls or any other why should I have to pay the tax again because already it is deducted from my salary na?

22 June 2012 1. Tax on your salary is INCOME TAX. It is payable on the INCOME that you have earned.

2. tax on purchases is CST/VAT which is on SALE of a product.

Both are different.
