Hey! If you’ve forgotten your Service Tax portal user ID and password, here’s what you can do:
User ID:
Usually, your user ID is your PAN number or your registered email/mobile number.
Check any old emails or documents related to your Service Tax registration — your user ID may be mentioned there.
Password reset:
Go to the official Service Tax portal (pre-GST era): https://services.india.gov.in
Click on “Forgot Password” or “Reset Password” option.
You will be asked to enter your user ID, registered email ID, and mobile number.
After validation, you’ll get a link or OTP to reset your password.
If you don’t remember your user ID or email:
You may need to contact the Service Tax Helpdesk or your regional service tax office.
Keep your PAN and registration details handy for verification.
Since Service Tax has been subsumed into GST from July 2017, if you are trying to access any post-GST filings, you should use the GST portal instead (https://gst.gov.in)
