23 October 2012 if casual vacancy occur under section 262 due to death then how many days casual vacancy filled by the board of directors/ shareholders.

Section 262 empower the Board to fill casual vacancies, if the office of any director appointed by the company general meeting is vacated before his term of office expires in the normal course.

The Board of director shall have the power at any time and from time to time subject to the provisions of section 260 of the Companies Act,1960 to appoint any person to be a director to fill a casual vacancy among directors of the company.

The vacancy will be filled before the expire of tenure of earlier director.
