28 January 2011 student of PCC can apply for conversion to IPCC in the prescribed form can be downloaded from www.icai.org along with prescribed fee [both groups Rs. 6000/- and group I Rs. 5000/-]. Students can obtain the prospectus of IPCC for Rs. 100/- from any nearest Branch office of the Institute. For example, a student of PCC for being eligible to appear in IPCC in November, 2010, the conversion application form needs to be submitted / received in the office of the Institute on or before 31stJanuary, 2010.Similarly for the May, 2010 examination, the conversion form should be received in the Institute on or before 31stJuly, 2010.

29 January 2011 Sir,

as u told me that only PCC student can apply for conversion to IPCC but my question is not matched with your answer. please again read my question and guide me.

20 July 2025 Thanks for clarifying your situation โ€” you're absolutely right to seek a clear, tailored answer. Here's a breakdown of your case:

๐Ÿ“Œ Your Situation (Summarized):
You registered for PE-II through graduate entry around 2004.
Registration was valid until 2010, but you could not clear PE-II.
You're asking:
Can you convert to IPCC (or now CA Intermediate)?
Or do you need to start again from CPT (Common Proficiency Test)?
Whatโ€™s the procedure and fees?
โœ… Can You Convert from PE-II to IPCC (Now CA Intermediate)?
Yes, you can convert, BUT:

Your old PE-II registration expired in 2010, so direct conversion is not available anymore.
That means:

Since PE-II and IPCC have both been discontinued, and your registration is expired,
You need to re-register under the current CA scheme (CA New Scheme 2024).
๐Ÿ†• What You Can Do Now (As of 2025)
You need to register afresh under the CA New Scheme:

Step-by-Step:

Register for CA Foundation (since PE-II route is obsolete and expired).
Unfortunately, your old graduation-based PE-II entry doesn't apply anymore.
Appear and pass CA Foundation.
Then register for CA Intermediate, complete ICITSS (Orientation + ITT), and begin Articleship.
๐Ÿ’ต Fees (Approximate as per ICAI New Scheme 2024):
Course Fees (INR)
CA Foundation โ‚น9k
CA Intermediate (Both Groups) โ‚น18k (โ‚น13k for one group)
Prospectus / Registration Kit โ‚น200 (if physical copy is taken)
Check latest fees on: https://www.icai.org

โš ๏ธ No Direct Conversion to IPCC or Intermediate Now
Since you were never registered under IPCC or PCC, and your PE-II registration expired, thereโ€™s no direct conversion route available anymore.
ICAI mandates fresh registration under the current scheme if your registration is no longer valid.
โœ… Final Summary:
Question Answer
Can I convert PE-II to IPCC now? โŒ No. Your registration expired in 2010.
Do I need to start from CPT? โŒ CPT is also discontinued. You must now start from CA Foundation under the New Scheme.
Can I enter directly into Intermediate? โŒ Not unless you re-qualify as a graduate and re-register via Direct Entry route.
What is the best option now? โœ”๏ธ Register fresh under CA Foundation or via Direct Entry if youโ€™re still a graduate with required % (55%/60%).
