Address may be changed in PAN data base by filing the "FORM FOR NEW PAN CARD OR / AND CHANGES OR CORRECTION IN PAN DATA" either online or through UTITSL or NSDL counters. after that the changed address should be intimated to CPC for getting the refund cheque.

Thank you so much sir(s), One of my friend have told me that the Income Tax office can also request the change of address to the refund banker directly.. Will they do so??

Generally, the Income Tax Department does not initiate changes to your PAN address or update your address directly with the refund banker on your behalf.
What usually happens is:
You have to update your address in the PAN database yourself, either online or offline (via NSDL/UTIITSL). After updating the address in PAN, you should send a written request to the CPC (Central Processing Centre) or your jurisdictional Assessing Officer, attaching proof of the updated address. The department then processes your request and reissues the refund cheque or initiates direct credit to your bank account if available. So, your friend’s information about the IT office requesting the bank directly is generally not the standard practice. It’s important you update your address yourself and inform the department formally.
