Refund Cheque Time Barred

19 May 2011 Sir,We have received refund Cheque from CPC and could nt be encashed with in the period of 90 days and the same was returned by my banker being time barred. Now i want to know the process for obtaining fresh cheque from CPC.

19 May 2011 i) Send a letter to CMP, State Bank of India at SBIFAST 31, Mahal Industrial Estate, Off Mahakali Caves Road, Andheri East, Mumbai - 400 093, Phone Number: 18004259760. The refund cheque received may be returned along with the above letter.

ii) Send a copy of the above letter to your Assessing Officer.

iii) Retain a copy of the letter and the refund cheque referred above with you.
