Can we do IDT & Law papers in CA Final through self study? If so how much time it might take for preparation and please tell me any precautions I should take to go for self study.

Yes, these papers you can study on your own. The estimation of time depends completely on your level of existing knowledge and ability to grasp what ever you study. But, the key is not in hurrying to finish reading the book which you have, but to understand them thoroughly, so that in the examination you are able to write the answer correctly and impress upon the examiner.
