Please let me know what is the rate of tax for Potato/Banana chips under Karnataka VAT.

It says '0' but Rate applies to sale of raw and/or frozen chips. However, chips sold hot are liable at the second Reduced rate.

20 July 2025 In Karnataka (circa 2015–16 under K-VAT), both potato chips and banana chips were classified as branded or processed snacks and taxed under the general entry for such items.

✅ VAT Rate on Chips in Karnataka
For both potato chips and banana chips, the applicable VAT rate was 12.5%
